About Me, Eko Wahyudi
Hello and welcome to my academic writing website. My name is Eko Wahyudi, and I am an English writer and academic based in Yogyakarta and Surakarta, Indonesia.
Although I still consider Yogyakarta my home, I currently spend more time in Surakarta, where I work as a full-time English teacher at a public senior high school in Sukoharjo Regency. Outside of work, I enjoy exploring new places and cycling long distances to remote areas. Cycling, in particular, is one of my greatest passions. It gives me a strong sense of freedom, adventure, and connection. I also enjoy playing basketball and swimming in my spare time.
This personal journey is part of what inspired me to create my own website. Not to talk about cycling or sports, but to build greater independence in my professional life as an academic ghostwriter, with a global client base in mind.
My Background in Academic Ghostwriting
Since 2009, I have been actively involved in the field of search engine marketing, with a particular focus on SEO and PPC advertising. I began my career as an SEO content writer and gradually expanded my expertise to include translation, content writing, and academic ghostwriting in Indonesia. Most of my work is written in English and covers a wide range of topics.
Until 2014, I worked full-time as an English teacher in both vocational high schools and general senior high schools. Alongside my teaching responsibilities, I consistently maintained my freelance career as a writer and translator, promoting my services through my Indonesian-language websites.
While I have long appreciated the flexibility and autonomy of remote work, I often found the conventional 7-to-4 work schedule restrictive. Currently, I teach full-time at one of a public senior high school as an English teacher, where I benefit from a lighter teaching load and a more competitive salary. This allows me to dedicate more time and energy to developing my freelance work as an academic writer.
